New Beginnings

At the top of my homepage I include a quote that says "a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." This is the first of my weekly blogs to hopefully help you explore the joys in life even through the challenges. My dream to become a Death Doula started at a very young age. Here, at the age of 66, I am finally realizing that dream. While studying to achieve this dream, I was encouraged to expand my services to share the ways I have achieved other successes in my life.

Life is about the choices we make. So many times we want to give others the "responsibility" of the joy or misery we experience. In fact the responsibility of the those feelings, how the actions of others affect our lives, lies completely in our hands. How we react to the actions and decisions of others is in our complete control. What we do with those reactions is what defines how we handle those relationships. YOU are the one who defines who and what you are and how you live your life. Whether it is about body image, finances, or any other segments of your life, the decisions are YOURS. This extends even to the atmosphere surrounding you as you transition at the end of this earthly existence.

My goal through this website, group sessions and individual meetings is to help you make choices to plan a joy filled life and a good death. Everyone's life is full of ups and downs, highs and lows: but the right choices and plans help us to realize the joy in everyday we have on this earth.
