Hello
I am Mary Lee Blackwelder and I’m very excited to help you navigate this crazy journey we call life. With my background in Social Science and Psychology, training as a Life Coach and Death Doula, and a lot of life experiences, I’ve got some great tools and resources to help you through the different seasons of life we all face. Let’s take on your challenges together and navigate the way to your goals!
A little about me
I believe that life’s hardest chapters can also become the most meaningful.
Like many of the people I now support, I’ve walked through seasons of struggle—broken relationships, financial worry, weight and health challenges, and moments where I honestly didn’t know how I’d move forward. Over the past decade, I’ve made steady, intentional changes: I’ve become a healthier me by changing lifestyle choices, controlled my Type 2 diabetes, climbed out of debt, and found joy in a healthy “rest of my life” relationship.
As friends asked how I did it I realized how powerful it can be to share what I’ve learned. That led me to train as a life coach and step fully into the work of helping others navigate change—with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
My path as a death doula began even earlier. After high school, I worked in a nursing home where one of the guiding principle's was “no one dies alone.” I sat beside residents as they transitioned from this life and witnessed the quiet, sacred beauty of those moments. Over the years, I’ve experienced personal loss and know just how meaningful it is when a loved one has prepared for the end of life—not just legally, but emotionally and spiritually.
Planning for life’s final chapter doesn’t have to be scary or cold. In fact, it can be one of the most loving gifts you give to yourself and those you leave behind.
Whether you’re facing a new beginning, needing guidance on dealing with some of life's challenges, holding grief, or thinking about how to leave this world with peace and intention, I’m here to walk with you—wholeheartedly, without judgment, and with deep respect for your journey.
If something in my story resonates with yours, I invite you to reach out. Let’s talk about how I can support you as you navigate life's many seasons.
